show Abstracthide AbstractBrycon orbignyanus was once one of the major fisheries resources in the Platine Basin in South America. It is now almost extinct in the wild and focus of ex situ conservation efforts aiming fish stocking. This genomic DNA paired-end short reads data set provides the first broad genomic data for this species and will be helpful in providing new genetic information able to sustain research, production and conservation initiatives in this fish (e.g. new genes characterizations, source for rapid molecular markers development, comparative studies and etc.).
